The Movie "Sankofa"

Brothers and Sisters,

I heard of the movie "Sankofa" while listening to an audio from Na'im Akbar. You know he's my man, (In-Sha-Allah, if G-d Is Willing), I would one day want to meet this brother.

Anyhow, I'm watching this movie and if you ever seen the movie series "Roots", this movie is special, the word "Sankofa" means is Akan word meaning "One must return to the past in order to move forward."

It would be wrong to write something here to try to inspire you to purchase and watch this movie. I will share my copy with others as a gift because I realize, one must return to the past in order to move forward but in the past, in the past you will meet somethings you may not like, may not want to visit but as a doctor for the mind will tell his patients, let's go back and together we will move forward.

In Islam we say, As-Salaam Akaikum (Peace be with you), but today, tonight, I say, I love you my brothers and sisters.
