Hello everyone,
I just finish reading the book... "Recapturing The African Mind", by Bruce Bridges.
The book was Powerful.
What I enjoyed about the most was, Dr. Bridges broke it down. Who the enemy is and how he got his power.
I can't tell you here if just in case you decide to read it.
He cover how every state or country in Africa was "tricked" and how that same trickery is working
today. Not just in Africa but also in the U.S.
He also spoke about one of the biggest problems in learning. It's.... (again, I can't tell ya, you gotta read it for yourself)
My friend in Nashville, Tn is a history teacher, he naturally teaches other classed too. Well, today he told me that the school where he teaches wants to not have him, an African American, teach the African American Class. They want to have a White lady teach it.
Can you imagine? What if the lady is a racist? What if she doesn't have any Black friends or never lived in a black neighborhood. Never associated with African Americans in high school or college. In fact the only thing she may know about African Americans is what the history books have told her.
Are you getting my point. I feel like maybe I said too much.... you can pick the book up at Amazon.com or at your local Afrocentric store but get it.
Let me get your opinion....

P.S. The Ancient Kemit's had a writing on their walls it said, "Man Know Thy Self". The Kemits were the Egyptians.
